I saw this info this morning on the Consumer Reports blog: Survey: Ford up, Toyota down in perceived safety, quality.

The blog begins:

American drivers feel Ford has made a significant improvement in its car safety and quality this past year, while Toyota is perceived to have made a dramatic drop, according to findings from a recent survey by the Consumer Reports National Research Center.

But that’s not what this blog post is about, exactly. The Consumer Reports post about safety made me remember this totally awesome 1957 Ford Fairlane convertible that we had the joy of doing the wheel alignment upon recently.

Now this big boy is huge and solid compared to vehicles today. Now if tanks were this beautiful, can you imagine how many people would be signing up to drive them in the Army? 😉

Here’s another angle of the front which is a work of art to me.
