Let me ask you a question. Do you think it’s less expensive to ignore the the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule for your vehicle or more expensive to ignore it?
You might equate it to this question: Is it less expensive to sit around eating lots of greasy food all day, month after month, year after year?
What would be the result? The hardening of your arteries, hundreds of pounds of weight, and a massive coronary.
Obviously your car isn’t going to gain weight unless it’s all the greasy hamburger wrappers on the back seat, but the analogy is the same, if you don’t maintain your car properly, like your body, it can end badly with a very costly trip to the car doc.
Your vehicle requires proper care. And it really is simple stuff, though quite often the simple stuff gets overlooked in favor of procrastination. Things like regularly changing of the oil, air filters, fuel filters, based on manufacture specs will help your car run better and last longer. You should get into the habit of checking the oil and transmission levels, along with the radiator fluid. Just the other day I was talking with someone who took the time to check his radiator before taking his son to school. It turned out to be low. He caught a problem right then before it ballooned into a massive problem requiring a lot of money.
So check out your vehicle’s maintenance list in the owners manual. and do yourself a favor by scheduling a little maintenance time that will go a long way toward saving you money and extending the life of your vehicle.
